Brian White Accused of Conducting Undisclosed Private Securities Transactions
Brian Michael White, formerly associated with AXA Advisors, LLC, engaged in an undisclosed outside business and conducted an undisclosed private securities transaction, according to a complaint filed by the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority’s Department of Enforcement.
In August 2010, White and two other AXA registered representatives created SMW Ventures, LP with the purpose to provide a vehicle for the three to develop business opportunities outside of AXA, including the sale of fixed annuity and insurance products, real estate investments, and business planning services, according to the complaint. White allegedly never obtained written approval from AXA to participate in SMW Ventures.
In 2011, White conducted an undisclosed private securities transaction that involved the sale of a promissory note to his mother that was issued by Material Science Technology, according to the complaint.
