James “Jeb” Bashaw Reportedly Not Heading to Wunderlich Securities

investment fraud attorneyJames “Jeb” Bashaw, who was given his walking papers from LPL Financial last month, will reportedly not be heading to Wunderlich Securities Inc.

Beshaw, the former head of LPL-affiliate James E Bashaw & Co., was terminated for allegedly failing “to follow firm policies and industry regulations,” according to BrokerCheck, the FINRA database on brokers and financial advisers.

Wunderlich Wedding Lasted Less than Two Weeks

Within days of getting the sack, however, according to BrokerCheck, Bashaw landed on his feet with Wunderlich on September 29, but that the relationship was almost immediately dissolved on Oct 9.  According to reports, a Wunderlich spokeswoman previously said that his transfer had never been complete, and was still “pending regulatory and other approvals.”

In spite of the Wunderlich’s insistence that Beshaw is not with the firm, the website for James E. Bashaw & Co. of Houston still reportedly redirects traffic to Wunderlich, and at least three other brokers from his firm, including Mr. Bashaw’s daughter, Mason Bashaw, have allegedly already joined Wunderlich and are staying there.

Bashaw Still Reportedly Contests LPL’s Dismissal

Mr. Bashaw was terminated by LPL in September after the firm alleged that he had participated in private securities transactions without providing written disclosure from LPL or obtaining written approval from the firm, and that he also had borrowed from a client, according to FINRA records.

Bashaw contends that the allegations are false, and that he had more than a dozen perfect audits, according to a statement on BrokerCheck.
