Jeffrey Noard Unsuitable Recommendation Allegedly Made to Elderly Customers
Jeffrey Noard allegedly made an unsuitable recommendation for GWG to one of his elderly customers at Allied Beacon Partners, Inc., and, as a result, Noard allegedly violated NASD and FINRA Rules, a Complaint from FINRA’ Department of Enforcement presently under review by attorneys Joe Peiffer and Jason Kane reports.
After Noard recommended GWG Renewable Secured Debentures to an 82-year-old client, FINRA alleged that there was no reasonable basis to recommend a speculative, illiquid investment like the GWG Renewable Secured Debentures to an elderly client who sought conservative investments.
As a result, FINRA reports that Noard’s alleged unsuitable investment recommendation violated FINRA Rules, and FINRA will also seek to sanction Noard for said conduct.
