Michael Dinerman Suspended for Alleged Outside Biotech Business Activity

Beginning in September 2012, Michael Dinerman, of New York City, allegedly engaged in outside business activity by performing CFO duties of a startup biotechnology company for over thirteen months sans proper prior written notice lo Piper Jaffray, according to a FINRA Letter of Acceptance, Waiver and Consent (AWC) currently being reviewed by attorneys Jason Kane and Joe Peiffer.
Furthermore, Dinerman also allegedly purchased shares of the company in a private offering and purchased a convertible note from the company without prior written notice to Piper, according to the aforementioned AWC.
What is more, attorneys Jason Kane and Joe Peiffer are further looking into the AWC which states that Dinerman allegedly knowingly answered an annual questionnaire inaccurately from his firm regarding his outside business activities and his private securities transactions, in gross violation of NASD and FINRA Rules.
Dinerman Agrees to Suspension and $10,000 Fine
Micahel Dinerman has reportedly consented to FINRA sanctions, including a suspension in all capacities from association with any FINRA member firm for three months, and a $10,000 fine, according to the AWC.
